How can I measure my alignment to AWS best practices?
Mission Control measures this by benchmarking your environment against our proprietary algorithm and AWS tools like AWS Trusted Advisor, AWS Security Hub, and AWS Compute Optimizer. To assess alignment before signing up for AI Foundation, you can try Mission Cloud Score for free from the AWS Marketplace. Mission Cloud Score is powered by Mission Control and benchmarks your environment against the Well-Architected pillars.
How often will I meet with my Technical Account Managers?
We can't jump on calls immediately, but your team is available at your preferred cadence. We suggest quarterly to monthly meetings, depending on your AWS environment's growth and change frequency. Frequencies beyond bi-weekly require special approval.
How do the 4 hours of AI engineering support work?
The 4 monthly AI engineering hours are included with AI Foundation and can be used flexibly for consulting, prompt engineering, troubleshooting, or guidance on AI initiatives. Hours refresh monthly and can be requested through Mission Control or your Technical Account Manager. Additional hours beyond the included 4 can be purchased through Engineer Assist - AI.
What's the difference between AI Foundation and Cloud Foundation?
AI Foundation includes everything in Cloud Foundation plus 4 hours per month of dedicated access to AI Engineers and Solution Architects specializing in AI/ML and generative AI solutions on AWS. AI Foundation is ideal for organizations building or scaling AI workloads, while Cloud Foundation focuses on general AWS optimization and best practices.
What's the difference between Mission support and AWS support?
The tree major differences are 1) customer-to-engineer ratio, 2) environmental visibility, and 3) cost. We maintain roughly a 1:10 engineer-to-customer ratio, making our team better able to familiarize with your environment. All of our teams have equal visibility into your environment, including your Mission Control instance, so we contextualize requests quickly. We offer Enterprise support with SLAs matching AWS and are often significantly less expensive than AWS Enterprise support.
How does the Instant Discount Program work?
The Instant Discount Program incorporates your billing into our payer account. Our aggregate purchasing on behalf of customers lets us effectively buy from AWS in bulk at a discount and redistribute that pricing advantage to customers. Getting your discount is as simple as signing up.
How do I know if I have FinOps or InfraOps opportunities in my environment?
Two key indicators are overall cost growth and application performance. If you're running into scaling limitations with either, you likely have opportunities to improve efficiency and re-architect with best practices. Issues like spiraling or spiking costs and application instability stem from infrastructural decisions. We can show you where waste, bottlenecks, or other opportunities exist for a healthier, more performant environment.
